1- A London Pied-A-Terre
This decoration project transformed a bland, recently renovated apartment in Chelsea, with the goal of creating a warm, cosy, and interesting interior for a couple who visits London on a regular basis.
2- A Regency Manor House
This was their first significant decoration project, for wonderful Hong Kong clients who were restoring a beautiful 19th century Manor House in the West Country with particularly good architectural interiors.
3- A Welsh Farmhouse
This interior was created for a development project at South Wales’ Coed Darcy regeneration scheme. The architectural firm created a cluster of simple, elegant vernacular houses, which can be seen here. They were then commissioned to decorate one of the buildings with the goal of creating a warm, lived-in show home.
4- An Arts And Crafts House
The fine house needed extensive renovations, and they collaborated closely with local Hampstead architects Charlton Brown in developing internal layouts and plans for the new owners, a newlywed young couple. These grew to include an underground swimming pool, a new kitchen extension, and extensive remodelling of some of the interior spaces.
5- An Early Georgian House
This house is more of a cottage – with tiny rooms and a wonderful, diminutive scale – in a fantastic terrace of listed early Georgian houses on the outskirts of Highgate, which was once just a small country village now consumed by London.
6- Ben’s London House
Ben and Charlie live on the top floor of an old Georgian house in Bloomsbury that has been converted into the headquarters of a prestigious artistic society. The flat was added and extended in the 1920s from old attic garrets, and it now has a stunning, light-filled interior with a view over the leafy square.
7- Chairs And Furniture
They have designed many pieces of furniture over the years, both for our shop, Pentreath & Hall and for bespoke projects. Tables, bookcases, lamps, chairs, and ottomans are examples.
One of their favourite collaborations was the design of an extraordinary needlepoint ottoman with Fine Cell Work, a charity that provides needlepoint stitched by prisoners, with whom they also designed a successful range of cushions in 2012.
8- Chichester Showhomes
They created the interiors for two show homes at our Chichester architectural scheme, Roussillon Park. The developer wanted us to keep our design integrity throughout the project, and to create show houses with real personality – rather than the bland and lifeless product that is so common in the new home market.
9- Great Ormond Street
Beautiful corner.
10- Royal Pavilion
Ben Pentreath’s Royal Pavilion, which houses 20 generous apartments, is the major new building in Poundbury’s Queen Mother Square. The firm also took on the schematic design of all the interiors and created a series of concept interior and soft furnishings proposals for a virtual show apartment’ to help with the building’s initial marketing.
