Today we present fantastic ideas for using Modern Lounge Rugs in your project, provided by the fantastic Turner Studio.
Modern Lounge Rugs
Turner was founded in 2001 in Sydney and has since evolved to become a multi-award-winning design studio specialising in architecture, urban design, interior design, and graphic design, with offices in both Sydney and London.
One of Turner’s basic ideas is that design is for everyone. Their project portfolio is diverse and growing as we continue to employ design to effect good change. The values of inclusion, connectedness, sustainability, and – simply – enjoyment are at the core of every design, regardless of category.

Modern Lounge Rugs
Turner’s projects encompass social and affordable housing, apartments and homes, student housing, seniors living, workplace, showroom, industrial, education, public buildings, hospitality, and increasingly, hybrid combinations of different typologies.
Interior design and environmental graphics are frequently included as part of the service, as well as separately for stand-alone projects. Their designs reflect the complexity of their circumstances while being anchored by a family approach to process and the creation of a polished urban fabric.
1. Modern Lounge Rugs – EDEN – ESQ
EDEN’s expansive living areas ooze seamless luxury and comfort, making them ideal for entertaining. Floor-to-ceiling glass makes a smooth transition to the wide private terraces and courtyards that welcome you to rest.
The separate dining and living spaces offer simple elegance and amenity, while the adjacent outdoor space features a double-sided fireplace for occupants to unwind and enjoy.
2. Modern Lounge Rugs – MESA
MESA is a monument with a green heart that connects urban living with the natural environment, located at the eastern entry of Hurstville.
Each MESA building has its own architectural and internal style, giving inhabitants a distinct identity and arrival experience.
The combination of timber finishes and marble-look engineered stone complements the MESA development’s natural components.
3. Modern Lounge Rugs – GRAND REVE
Castle Hill is a green Sydney neighbourhood defined by tree canopies and verdant gardens.
Grand Réve offers a diverse choice of apartment types to appeal to a diverse audience.
The living, kitchen, and dining rooms are vast and highlighted with high ceilings, engineered stone benchtops, many with an island bar, and an abundance of relaxing natural light thanks to the open-plan arrangement.
The Grand Reve apartment interiors include high-end quality finishes and elegant lines.
4. Modern Lounge Rugs – LUMIA, THE ORCHARDS
Lumia occupies a distinct location inside The Orchards precinct and Norwest. It has a strong link to the natural surroundings while also making use of the increasing urban amenity provided by the Norwest city centre and the new Metro station, both of which are within easy walking distance.
This degree of design discipline is carried all the way down to the woodwork detailing, including the curved edges of stone benchtops. The outdoor pool and pavilion are significant features of Lumia. This pavilion features a mix of public and intimate eating and lounge rooms with views of the pool and linear park beyond.
5. Modern Lounge Rugs – ON HILLS CENTRAL
The display suite for On Hills Central was a difficult retail space with a complicated layout.
Turner Studio was inspired by Meg Walters’ artwork and transferred it into the colour scheme. In the exhibition apartment, an original artwork hangs to show guests their design inspiration and allusions to the Australian natural surroundings.
The colour palette is warm and natural, with plenty of ochres and eucalyptus green. These accent colours are utilised to colour-block separate zones of the display and to transition the journey across the long, narrow sales suite.

6. Modern Lounge Rugs – CREST, PIER AND LINKS
Stage 3 at Woolooware Bay Town Centre is a highly contextual design that capitalises on the direct seaside location’s capabilities.
The interior design theme revolved around luxury beach-side living with a modern urban twist.
The pink metallics featured in the bespoke carpets were carried over into the custom signs. Water drops and ripples were portrayed by the circle symbol in the signs and pendant lighting.
7. Modern Lounge Rugs – FABRIC HOUSE
Turner Interiors has been commissioned to design the interiors of Fabric House and Washington House in Stage 1. Washington House, with its majestic heritage façade facing Hunter Street, is a structure with over 100 years of history that is being revitalised and carefully brought into the twenty-first century.
The interiors of Washington House are heavily influenced by Newcastle’s beaches and harbour.
Continuing the idea of fusing the traditional and the modern, the interiors will have stone benchtops, mirrored splashbacks, polished chrome fixtures, and magnificent timber flooring.
8. Modern Lounge Rugs – MERIDIAN MIRANDA
Meridian’s interiors, which include 102 apartments for both private residents and critical staff, primarily mimic the flowing architectural form, with an emphasis on space, finishing, and detail.
The curving lines begin at the point of entry in the two lobbies and spread throughout the structures.
The interior palette is monochrome in white, charcoal grey, and black to allow occupants to ‘colour‘ their areas. The joinery is curved, storage is hidden, and the outdoor vistas are shown as a background to one’s living.
9. Modern Lounge Rugs – OASIS
Oasis by Crown is a high-quality, contributing piece of modern architecture conspicuously placed along Ashfield’s slope.
It is not just an exterior reinvention of the building, but also an inside makeover.
The exquisite and organically polished elements of the quiet and cool entering sequence are extended by a common lounge, music room, and small theatre.

10. Modern Lounge Rugs – WASHINGTON HOUSE
The interiors of Washington House are heavily influenced by Newcastle’s beaches and harbour. Fabric House is a vision of timeless desirability: a stunning heritage structure with unmistakably 21st-century interiors, positioned in a city centre surrounded by the harbour, headlands, and history.
